A powerful moment of connection took place recently at the Durban ICC as Siviwe Benya, the Founder of the Mayibuyi Youth Organisation, met and shared a warm handshake with prominent business icon and CEO of the Edison Power Group, Mr. Vivian Reddy.

This was far from their first meeting. The history between our organization and the legendary businessman dates back to 2015, when the Mayibuyi Youth Organisation invited Mr. Reddy as the guest of honor at our youth gathering at the Phoenix Youth Centre. True to his commitment to youth development, he attended and delivered an unforgettable address, sharing vital words of wisdom on perseverance, leadership, and what it takes to build a successful life.
During this latest encounter at the ICC, Mr. Reddy expressed how deeply inspired he was to see that, more than a decade later, the Mayibuyi Youth Organisation remains highly active, resilient, and deeply impactful in our communities. Moving forward, we are looking forward to future discussions on how we can best collaborate to uplift and support our societies.
