On the 6th of June 2026, the Mayibuyi Youth Organisation was officially invited, alongside other prominent civic organizations, to attend a critical stakeholder gathering at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre (ICC Durban). Hosted by the liberation movement, the summit brought together key community voices with the shared goal of tackling the pressing socio-economic challenges currently facing communities across KwaZulu-Natal.

For our team, this gathering provided an invaluable opportunity to engage directly with diverse stakeholders, build new networks, and ensure that the voice of the youth remains at the center of community development and social change in KZN.
