The Mayibuyi Youth Organisation concluded it’s school tour drive campaign at Mahatma Primary School. Sgt. Merl Govender from Phoenix SAPS warned the learners about social ills facing young South Africans in and out of schools premises that include; Drugs and alcohol abuse, Bullying and sexual harassment that all amounts to a crime. As a kick of to the youth month of June, Mayibuyi recently held an event at Phoenix youth center, involving 400 learners from Phoenix, Kwa-mashu and Inanda. The main purpose for that day was to educate and empower young people with social problems facing them. It was also a reminder to them that the struggle facing south african young people is still on based to social problems such as: drugs abuse, crime, early-pregnancy, alcohol abuse, child and woman abuse, poverty and unemployment.
